The Modern Textile Industrial Park with total investment of 690 million yuan constructed in Liaoyuan

On May 6th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the New Territory Modern Textile Industrial Park and Longshan Industrial Development Zone Green Electric Smart Industry Park project was held in Longshan District, Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province. The project has a total investment of 690 million yuan, covering a total area of 122,000 square meters, with a building area of 209,000 square meters.

According to the information from the Industrial and Information Bureau of Liaoyuan City, in 2022, there were 10 large-scale sock + modern textile industrial enterprises in Liaoyuan City, with a total output value of 770 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.2%. The city has 41,000 sock machines and equipment, with an annual capacity of 3.5 billion pairs, accounting for 10% of China and 5% of the world. The product mainly consists of cotton socks, with a production value of 12 billion yuan. The sock industry directly and indirectly employs 45,000 people, driving more than 100,000 people in the national industrial chain. In 2023, Liaoyuan City successfully held the first Liaoyuan Sock Industry Chain Conference, signed multiple projects such as the cooperation between Northern Sock Group and Rural Commercial Bank, with a total contract value of 330.6 million yuan.
