Chinas retail sales of textiles and garments continue to increase in Dec, 2023

China's retail sales value of consumer goods totaled 4.3550 trillion Yuan in Dec 2023, up 7.4% year on year. In Jan-Dec 2023, the cumulative retail sales of consumer goods amounted to 47.1495 trillion Yuan, up 7.2% year on year.

In Dec 2023, the retail value of apparel, shoes, hats, knitwear and textiles of enterprises above designated size was 157.62 billion yuan, up 26% year on year. In Jan-Dec, the cumulative retail sales of apparel, shoes, hats, knitwear and textiles above designated size totaled 1409.48 billion yuan, up 12.9% year-on-year.

In Dec 2023, the retail value of apparel goods of enterprises above designated size was 117.99 billion yuan, up 30.5% year-on-year. From January to December, the cumulative retail value of apparel was 1035.29 billion yuan, up by 15.4% year-on-year.
